A dirty business – but someone had to do it
TV programme Watermen: A Dirty Business on BBC 2 featured some of the drain blockage difficulties encountered during a heatwave in the North West of England.
Operatives did a great job of highlighting the root cause of blockages in our sewage with flushed baby wipes, grease, cooking oil and fats being the biggest cause of such problems.
Delivering job after job in the sweltering heat, the drainage engineers, who must have very strong stomachs, continued to deal with blocked drains and sewers unperturbed and even shared stories of gruesome sights as they tucked into fish and chips after a job.
High-Pressure Water Jetting
The equipment they used for high-pressure water jetting and vacuuming just managed to cope, and we’re certain they would have been only too pleased to be able to use our powerful Kroll recyclers to tackle some of the blockages featured in the programme.
CCTV Drain Surveys
Here at CountyClean Group we have the latest equipment for high-pressure water jetting and CCTV drain surveys for tackling drainage problems on an industrial scale and for home owners too.
Our Kroll recycler dealt with the largest fatberg ever found in the UK, measuring an enormous 15 tonnes. Working for Thames Water it took 10 days to clear the fatberg using the most powerful equipment for high-pressure water jetting available in CountyClean’s fleet. The difficulty and size of the task was broadcast on news networks throughout the world, including on the BBC.
